Through the Galaxy Unpacked event which was held on August 11, 2021, Samsung has announced the presence of its newest smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch4 Series, which consists of the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic.

One of the changes presented in Samsung’s new smartwatch is the use of Google’s Wear OS which provides better support for Android devices.

But because of this, it is now said that the Samsung Galaxy Watch4 Series will no longer be used for iOS device users.

Samsung has confirmed that this new smartwatch will no longer support iOS devices due to the collaboration between Samsung and Google. Certainly, this recent update will make Galaxy Watch users using iOS devices feel bad.

But actually, this move by Samsung had already been made by Apple. The Apple Watch itself also cannot be used without an iOS device, especially for the activation process.

Samsung also confirmed that this only applies to the new Galaxy Watch4 Series smartwatches, however, the previous generation of Galaxy Watch devices can still be used with iOS devices and are still supported by Samsung. What are your thoughts about this? Share in the comment box below.
