Like we all know, rooting a device gives you unlimited control over certain functions on it and having the new TECNO Boom J8 rooted isn’t going to be a bad idea after all.

I know the TECNO HIOS template gives us a wide range of functionality that allows one to easily modify the features on your device. However, this cannot be compared to almight rooting, rooting will give you total developer control of your device.

TECNO BOOM J8 ROOTING AND TWRP INSTALLATION GUIDE

How To Root TECNO Boom J8

Requirements

• Kingroot v4.9 apk
• Internet access
• Follow procedure carefully (10 minutes should do)
• Root checker (not compulsory)

Step 1

Firstly Download Kingroot v4.9 here

Step 2

Enable internet connection, also enable Unknown Sources

Tip 1: To enable unknown sources, Go to Settings >> Security >> Unknown Sources and mark it on. (This function will allow installation of app from unknown sources)

Step 3

Next is to install the downloaded King Root Application on your device.

Step 4

Open and run  Kingroot application by tapping the blue button at the bottom to kick-start rooting. Exercise patience for the process to complete 100% before proceesing to next step.

NB: Slow internet sometimes makes your phone to reboot while carrying out the rooting process on TECNO Boom J8. If this happens, simply restart device and the rooting process again.

Step 5

When the root operation is complete, the Kingroot Application will give you a success message

Step 6

Now you can reboot device, (King User should have been installed on your device.)

Step 7

Verify to make sure your TECNO Boom J8 to have been succefully rooted (see steps below). You can simply skipped this step, not compulsory.

• If want to verify root access… Navigate to Google play store or click here to download Root checker.
• Install, run and tap the button to check if phone has successfully rooted.

HOW TO INSTALL TWRP ON TECNO BOOM J8

After you’ve successfully rooted your TECNO boom J8 phone, you can then…

• Visit Google play store to download TWRP, type and search google playstore for it.
• Download and Install

What Is The Function Of TWRP

You need TWRP becuase it allows you to be able to Install, Backup, Restore, and Wipe your device data.
