TECNO Camon iAir 2 Plus – Another TECNO Notch Revelation

When TECNO released a couple of smartphones last month, the company released them in a similar design-build but added a few tweaks to their specifications and gave them different names. The TECNO Camon iAir 2 Plus is one of the smartphones released.

The other devices were TECNO Camon i2 and TECNO Camon i2X (whose name was inspired from the iPhone X). In other not to digress excessively, let’s check out the device in full, shall we?

TECNO Camon iAir 2 Plus Quick Review

The design of all three smartphones are the same, no questions asked. Just like the article’s title denotes, this device is also another TECNO revelation. These set of smartphones are the first smartphones from the Chinese-based company to have notch screens. Unlike Infinix who released a single notch screen smartphone (Infinix S3X), TECNO released three.

Asides the top notch, the polycarbonate material composition and location of the key components remains the same. The rear camera is located at the top left corner while the fingerprint camera appears somewhere below it but not exactly below. Beneath the fingerprint sensor, the TECNO logo takes its spot while a bezel-less design governs the front area.

An aspect ratio of 19:9 and 88.16% screen-to-body ratio fuses with the smartphone’s 6.2-inch to deliver an impressive display. More so, the resolution is pegged at the same 720 x 1520 pixels like the others. HiOS 4.1 modified based on the Android Oreo OS sits in the software arena of the phone.

The memory section and selfie zone are where the major difference is. This smartphone has an average 2GB RAM for multitasking compared to the 3GB and 4GB RAM of the others.

Its storage capacity remains 32GB but it can be expanded with the employment of a MicroSD card. As for the selfie region, this device holds an 8MP camera unlike the 16MP camera found in its counterparts. The rear camera’s sensors are still the 13MP + 2MP sensors.
