TECNO Launched The Phantom 9, Equipped with Triple Cam, Dot Notch and In-display Fingerprint

Chinese smartphone maker TECNO Mobile has announced a new flagship smartphone ‘TECNO Phantom 9’ with a 6.4-inch display in Nigeria after 20 months since it announced the Phantom 8 in Oct 2017. The Phantom line has been known for years for the good price-performance ratio of these devices and with the Phantom 9, it is no different.

As one of the latest TECNO phones, it belongs to the flagship section of the Chinese brand – Phantom Series. A 64-bit MediaTek Helio P35 chipset with octa-core 2.35GHz CPU is functioning at the heart of the phone. Meanwhile, a super 6GB RAM makes the smartphone performs seamlessly.

That’s said, here is a detailed preview of the Phantom 9 flagship smartphone from TECNO.

The Phantom 9 display has a 19.5:9 ratio, making it very elongated, but still relatively narrow. The diagonal is 6.4 inches, but the device still feels great in the hand. Thanks to the AMOLED technology, colours splash from the screen and the contrast is very high. That means enjoying every photo, film or website that you view!

Privacy is and will, of course, remain important and TECNO also knows that. With the Phantom 9, it has therefore been decided to process an optical fingerprint scanner under the display just like in the Galaxy A70. Matter of keeping your finger in the right place and your device can be used immediately.

With this device, TECNO has opted for a vertical arrangement of three cameras. The main camera shoots images with great detail of up to 16 megapixels, while the second camera has a wide-angle sensor of 8 megapixels. There is also a 2MP sensor present that can measure depth, allowing you to take photos with a bokeh effect.

On the front of the phone, as usual, you will find the sensor and a 32MP selfie camera sitting in the dot-notch and also supported by a powerful dual flash.

Various lovely stickers are installed on your camera. This smartphone houses 75 key facial features and supports 120° recognition. So you can choose one and take as many photos as you like. Animates your favourite emoji with real facial expressions and creates more fun when taking pictures or recording videos using the 32MP front-facing camera.

In the aspect of battery capacity, the battery can be charged quickly and will be full again in no time, which is of course very nice. By the way, charging does not have to be done every day, because TECNO has opted for a 3500mAh battery.

The processor in this new device from TECNO is an eight-core MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 SoC clocked at 2.35 GHz that provides enough power for everyday apps. Do you constantly use social media apps, check your videos on YouTube or do you occasionally play a simple game? Then you can opt for this device!

The device has 128 GB of internal memory as standard, where you can store everything. Think of applications, but also music, documents or of course your photos. If this is not enough, you can easily and quickly expand it with a microSD card.

This device comes with HiOS 5 built on Android 9.0 Pie and TECNO has made several changes to it. For example, the interface has been adjusted, whereby you can customise the icons or settings menus to your taste.
