TECNO Spark 3 Finally Launched, It’s A Super Budget Smartphone With AI Selfie Camera

Last year, TECNO Mobile churned out a couple of budget phones and this year won’t be an exception. The news of a new Spark series has just hit the market as TECNO recently announced two new Spark devices — they go by the name TECNO Spark 3 and Spark 3 Pro (successors of last year’s TECNO Spark 2 and Spark 2 Pro).

The TECNO Spark 3 phone has a total of two cameras, each with its own function. Furthermore, the Spark 3 has a plastic housing which expresses entry-level, a Super FULLVIEW screen and a solid 3500mAh battery that supports a fast charging. The Spark 3 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and Android 9 Pie for the 2GB RAM version!  It has everything you can expect from a budget Android smartphone and performs fairly in the field of photography!

TECNO Spark 3 Quick Review!

TECNO has opted for a sharp 6.2-inch display with this Spark 3, same size with the newly launched Infinix Zero 6. The screen uses Super FULLVIEW technology with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels which is an almost insignificant upgrade to Spark 2 720 x 1440 pixels, It features an aspect ratio of 19:9 with a notch at the top for a perfect viewing experience! This device has the perfect screen for movies!

The Super FULLVIEW display is large, but the thin and rounded edges make the TECNO Spark 3 very comfortable to hold. Both the front and back consist of a shiny plastic covering, this material feels and looks very economic.

On the back of TECNO Spark 3, you will find 13MP + 2MP dual camera vertically machined to the left side of the back with the LED light. However, the Go Edition of this product comes with a single rear camera of 8 megapixels. The front of both variants comes with an 8MP camera. There is also a single LED flash as well.

The device uses a fingerprint scanner which is a safer alternative to patterns and passwords. This sensor is placed at the back of the device.

TECNO has equipped the Spark 3 with the MediaTek MT6580 SoC with a Quad-Core Processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB RAM. On the other hand, the other variant has a stronger Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 SoC which also a Quad-Core Processor but clocked higher with 2GHz and IMG PowerVR GPU.

On the road with an empty smartphone is the last thing you have to worry about with the Spark 3. The phone has a 3500mAh battery (with fast charging support) that you can easily power all day, and maybe two! (Check out phones with 4000mAh battery capacity).

This TECNO Spark 3 device has 1GB/2GB RAM with internal storage variants of 16GBGB. This is already a considerable amount where you can store a moderate amount of photos, apps (Go Apps) and music… Are you still short? Then you can easily expand the capacity by inserting a memory card up to 64GB in your device! If you want even more storage, then opt for the Spark 3 Pro with 32GB internal storage.

Another striking feature is the unavailability of 4G LTE on the TECNO Spark 3. Luckily, it’s available on the Spark 3 Pro variant.

TECNO delivers the Spark 3 1GB variant with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) while the other variant comes with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. TECNO does make a number of changes, thus making available the latest HiOS 4.6 launcher on this device. This gives you a real TECNO interface with accompanying icons and apps.
