Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi 18 Pro, its latest flagship Android smartphone featuring Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, a secondary display on the back and a Leica-branded triple camera system.
Announced in China alongside the larger Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, the Xiaomi 18 Pro combines a relatively compact 6.4-inch AMOLED display with high-end hardware, including up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and a massive 7,000mAh battery.
One of the more unusual features is the 2.7-inch AMOLED display on the back. Rather than serving purely as a decorative addition, the secondary screen can display information and provide access to selected functions without requiring users to turn the phone around.

Display and Design
The Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2436 × 1120 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. There is also a 2.7-inch AMOLED rear display with a resolution of 912 × 596 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi has expanded the functionality of the secondary display this year, including support for more interactive features and AI-powered mini apps.
Despite packing a 7,000mAh battery, the phone measures around 8.5mm thick and weighs between 203g and 208g, depending on the version. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for protection against water and dust.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and up to 16GB RAM
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 18 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, making it one of the first smartphones to launch with the new flagship chipset. The processor is paired with 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, while storage options include 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
On the software side, the smartphone runs Android 17 with Xiaomi HyperOS 4. Other connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and USB Type-C. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Leica Triple Camera Setup
Photography is another major focus of the Xiaomi 18 Pro, with the company continuing its partnership with Leica. The rear camera system consists of a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide camera and another 200MP telephoto camera offering 3.2x optical zoom and OIS.

The main camera uses Xiaomi’s Light Fusion 960 sensor, while the camera system carries Leica Summilux branding. For selfies and video calls, the Xiaomi 18 Pro features a 50MP front-facing camera.
The secondary rear display should also prove useful when taking photos with the main cameras, as users can preview shots without relying on the front-facing camera.
7,000mAh Battery with 100W Fast Charging
The Xiaomi 18 Pro packs a 7,000mAh battery, which is particularly large considering the phone’s relatively compact dimensions. It supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor, facial recognition and dual nano-SIM support.

Xiaomi 18 Pro vs Xiaomi 18 Pro Max
The Xiaomi 18 Pro was launched alongside the larger Xiaomi 18 Pro Max, with several hardware differences separating the two models.
The standard Pro has the smaller 6.4-inch display and a 7,000mAh battery, while the Pro Max increases the screen size to 6.9 inches and battery capacity to 8,500mAh. The Pro Max also uses the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, whereas the standard model is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.
The Xiaomi 18 Pro therefore provides many of the flagship features of the Pro Max in a considerably smaller package, including the secondary rear display, Leica camera system and Qualcomm’s latest-generation flagship platform.
