Xiaomi isn’t planning to take the smartphone section with levity at any point in time. It so happens that the tablet section isn’t going to be overlooked either. This is evident in the OEM’s announcement of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4. Yes, we’ve seen tonnes of Xiaomi smartphones (Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, Xiaomi Redmi S2, Xiaomi Redmi 6a, etc.) released this year but the tablet segment just got its headliner for the year.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 appears in a brilliant aluminium alloy material that’s shaped to bestow beauty. As a regular slate, it dorns a rear camera as well as a front-facing camera. The camera at the front is equipped with Face ID to provide biometric security instead of a fingerprint scanner. Having a sleek 7.9mm thickness & 342.5g weight, the tablet can be held conveniently with fewer efforts.
Next up, there’s the moderately sized 8-inch IPS screen. This IPS screen portrays its display via Full HD resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and 283PPI density. The screen also enjoys an aspect ratio of 16:10 as well as 77.1% screen-to-body ratio.

An even larger 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM variant is also available for more storage. Unfortunately enough, no MicroSD card slot is supported on the device.
Under the hood, an upper mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC powers the tablet’s basic functions. In its bag of tricks, an octa-core Kryo 260 CPU is located. The CPU has four of its core locked at 1.8GHz speed while the rest clock at 2.2GHz. Graphics is laid out properly through the Adreno 512 GPU.
An interesting 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture anchors rear photography. At the front, a 5MP camera handles the capturing of selfies. No LED flash is supported on the tablet. A non-removable Li-Po 6,000mAh battery provides the lasting durability of the tablet.
