In unusual fashion, ZTE announces the mini version of this smartphone (ZTE Nubia Z18 Mini) five months before the standard version made it out. This version isn’t just standard but also competent in different segments. Let’s see what it presents, shall we?
ZTE Nubia Z18 Quick Review
One of the first things to notice about this ZTE Nubia Z18 is the design. Boy! Chinese smartphones can’t get enough of the notch design. Just like recent trends, ZTE goes for a very tiny notch shown by just the front camera. There’s a chin below that complements the bezel-less display. Of all the colour variants, the Starry Night coloured edition appears most appealing. A red rectangular compartment houses the cameras at the back while the blend of colours on the rear of the smartphone is just easy on the eye.
Speaking about the rear cameras, it’s loaded with 24MP and 16MP AI-assisted cameras. These cameras use a dual-LED flash to illuminate images in low light conditions. At the front, an 8MP selfie shooter is in place to take quality images for the selfie lovers.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is the engine behind this device. It houses an octa-core 2.8GHz CPU as well as Adreno 630 GPU. What’s to note is that the phone comes in RAM variants of 6GB and 8GB, depending on your choice. Software-wise, Android 8.1 Oreo OS with the blend of Nubia UI 6.0 is available on the smartphone.
Lastly, the Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 is at bay to ensure the phone’s battery charge at a really rapid rate. The battery being talked about here is a non-removable 3,450mAh Li-Ion battery, similar to the Nubia Z18 Mini.
