Earlier in May, MTN telecommunication network claimed to be unleashing a 4G LTE service come July, this news broke out after NTEL officially launched their 4G LTE service in Nigeria.
MTN had acquired Visafone which isn’t a news anymore, however, customers have been moved and transfered off the CDMA network to MTN very own GSM network which will pave way for a better and stronger network come July. MTN as the leading network won’t stop at ensuring internet services are of the best in Nigeria and other MTN dominated countries in Africa.
AVAILABILITY OF MTN 4G LTE IN LAGOS
MTN 4G services claimed to be launching in July appeared to be moving closer sooner than later. Mr. Mo of MobilityArena had run several test on the availability of MTN 4G LTE network where he resides in Lagos and the screenshot of his results appeared to be positive. (See image below)
Although, this is only available to see that MTN 4G LTE network is real and cannot connect to it, at least not yet. MTN 4G LTE services seems to be, rather more realistic than NTEL’s acclaimed 4G network that’s yet to spread across Nigeria.
Let’s hope for the very best, MTN have paved way for better Internet services in Nigeria, now Glo had yesterday, signification increased their data plans giving a whopping 10GB for N2500 & more. Therefore, we are anticipatorily awaiting Airtel and Etisalat to follow the trend.
