After hearing the news recently, BlackBerry will reportedly launch a smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard and will support 5G connection next year.
Citing Phone Arena, BlackBerry has just announced a partnership with OnwardMobility and FIH Mobile to develop a new smartphone, which will be released on behalf of BlackBerry.
BlackBerry once dominated the smartphone industry, including in Nigeria. However, its name has been eroded by competitors. This Canadian company last released a new product in 2018.
The new BlackBerry smartphone product is said to have the company’s security features, as well as their signature QWERTY keyboard.
The device is also suspected of having combined features with Android, just like the current BlackBerry device launched.
Although it is not yet known what chipset will be used to power the smartphone, BlackBerry is expected to make a version that can connect to the 5G network and will be aimed at supporting productivity.
OnwardMobility, regarding their agreement, indicated that there will be several smartphones to be launched, however, BlackBerry has not confirmed the news.
