MediaTek has recently announced its newest flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9000 which is produced with 4nm fabrication. As a result, this chipset can come with a improved performance and more power efficiency to improve battery consumption.
In addition, the Dimensity 9000 is also the first chipset in the world to use the ARM v9 4nm architecture. This allows MediaTek to present more improvements in its new chipset.
MediaTek even claims that the CPU and GPU performance of the Dimensity 9000 is 35% higher than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset.
The Taiwanese company also said that the Geekbench benchmark results from its chipset were able to produce scores that were almost on par with Apple’s chipsets, i.e the A15 Bionic.
Just to let you know, Dimensity 9000 comes with a CPU configuration of 1 Cortex-X2 @ 3.05 GHz, 3 Cortex-A710 @ 2.85 GHz, and 4 Cortex-A510 @ 1.8 GHz.
Previously, MediaTek also said that the AI (Artificial Intelligence) performance in this chipset also beats Google’s latest chipset, Tensor. That’s why the Dimensity 9000 is also touted as the chipset with the highest AI performance in mobile.
Until now, there is no information regarding what smartphone will use the Dimensity 9000 chipset. But MediaTek says that the first smartphone with the Dimensity 9000 chipset will launch in 2022.
