The Chinese OEM, HOMTOM took aluminium alloy, glass and a few other materials, and the result is this classic smartphone. C8 takes the approach of bezel-less design although with top and bottom bezels. The top bezel houses the front camera, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and the earpiece. It’s just the regular. On the other hand, the chin lacks any tenant.
Still, on the design, a speaker grille and HOMTOM emblem are placed in the bottom region of the phone’s back. Millimetres upwards, the fingerprint scanner and dual camera setup are situated. Given the touch ID’s location, the user can easily unlock the phone using the index finger.
A modest IPS HD screen of 5.5 inches serves as C8’s display marshal. 260PPI pixel density and the 640 x 1280 pixels resolution team up to deliver utmost sharpness and clarity to the screen. As a means of beautifying the phone, HOMTOM integrated a 2.5D Curved Glass on the panel.
Under the hood, MediaTek MT6739, a chipset with Quad-core 1.5GHz processor handles the core functions of the smartphone. Meanwhile, the graphics card attached to it is the PowerVR GE8100 GPU.
A smartphone seems incomplete without good cameras; for this reason, this device carries 13MP + 2MP cameras at its rear while the fore works with 8MP shooter.
Moving on, the memory department presents 2GB RAM and an expandable 16GB internal storage. Software roles are undertaken by Android 8.1 Oreo OS while the battery holds 3,000mAh capacity.
