1. Zoom in the details of the photographs
Have you ever wanted to see something on an Instagram just a little bit closer? Now you can.
How to do it:
- Go to the photo you want to zoom.
- Pinch with two fingers.
- Enjoy the details.
2. Save publications to see later
Have you ever looked at a picture that you really wanted to save for later?
Well, now Instagram has a little known feature that allows you to save messages to an area of your profile only you can see. It is the perfect place for inspirational photos or even save competing publications that you would like to revisit.
How to do it:
- Go to the publication that you want to save
- Go to your profile and slide left
- Touch the marker icon below the photo on the right side of the screen.
- To view the saved posts, visit your profile and press the favourites icon to go to the saved tab.
3. Comment filter based on keywords
If you have a problem with social media or bullying, you’re in luck; Instagram has a little-known feature to help you deal with that.
The network offers comments controls that allow you to filter comments by keyword or even deactivate them completely for a given publication.
How to filter comments:
- Select the person icon to visit your profile
- Tap the gear icon on IOS or the three points on Android to go to Options
- Choose Comments
- Toggle the Hide inappropriate comments option
This feature hides comments that contain words or phrases that are often reported as offensive. You can also choose to add your own list of custom keywords that you would like to hide in your messages
How to deactivate comments:
- Start posting a photo or video as usual
- When you reach the screen where you add a description, location and other tags, select

4. Remove comments

5. Publish Instagram on Pinterest
Like Instagram, Pinterest is a very visual and very powerful social platform for the reuse of its publications.
Unfortunately, Pinterest does not appear as one of the network options when sharing an Instagram post. But here are 2 ways:
How to do it on the mobile:
- Go to the publication that you would like to make a Pin
- Touch the three dot icon located above your publication on the right
- Select Copy URL.
- Open the Pinterest application on your mobile device
- Tap the “plus” sign icon at the top right of the screen to add a new Pin.
- The menu will open, select Copy link.
- Pinterest will open automatically with a link saved in the clipboard.
- Choose the image you would like for the Pin and make the publication as usual
How to do it on the desktop:
- Visit Instagram.com and find the publication you would like to Pin.
- Right click on the publication and select Open link in a new tab.
- Use the Pinterest button for your browser to choose the image you would like to Pin and finally publish the image.
Note: If you don’t have the Pinterest button on your Chrome browser, kindly navigate to extension and install it.
6. Add and manage multiple accounts
Do you have more than one Instagram account, maybe one for your business and one personal?
How to do it:
- Tap the person icon at the bottom of the screen to visit your profile
- Tap the gear icon on IOS or the three points on Android to go to Options
- Scroll to the bottom and select Add account
- Enter the username and password for the second account you want to manage
- Once you have added a second (or third or fourth) account, the profile icon in the navigation bar allows you to change profiles.
7. Go to the activity of the accounts that you follow

- Scroll to the end of your filters and click on Manage
- Press and hold the three-line icon next to each filter on the left side of the screen to change the order of the filters
- Activate or deactivate the circles next to each filter on the right side of the screen to hide or show in filters.
- Click the Done icon to save the settings
10. Clear search history
You’ve probably noticed that Instagram saves your search queries and shows the last terms the next time you search. If you want to start with a blank slate, follow these steps.
How to do it:
- Touch the person icon to go to your profile
- Tap the gear icon on IOS or the three points on Android to go to Options
- Go to privacy and security
- Scroll to the bottom, then touch Clear search history
Tip: You can also hide only some accounts, hashtags, or places. To do this, just click on the magnifying glass icon to visit the search page, press the search bar at the top of the screen, touch and hold the search you want to hide from its history, then tap Hide.
11. See all the messages that you liked

12. Hide photos that have been tagged
How to do it:

- Tap the third icon of your biography to go tab “Photos in which you appear“
- Select the photos you want to be removed from your profile
- Touch the three-point icon in the upper right corner
- Click Post option – Then tap Hide Photos by turning off the show in your profile switch
Tip: You can also choose whether or not to review the photos where you have been manually tagged. To do so, go to the “Photos in which you appear” tab, press the three-dot icon, select tagging options, then choose to add automatically or add manually.
13. Add the line breaks in your biography
If you want to break the block of text in your biography, this trick is for you. Line breaks are a great way to include information in a visually appealing way.
How to do it on the mobile:
Open a note application and write your biography as you want it to appear, with included line breaks.
- Select all the text and select Copy
- Open the Instagram application
- Touch the person icon to visit your profile
- Tap the Edit Profile button
- Paste the text of your application notes into the biography field.
- Tap Done to save the changes
How to do it on the desktop:

- Open Instagram and press the person icon to go to your profile
- Tap the gear icon on IOS or the three points on Android to go to Options
- Scroll down and activate Save Original Photo.
- Activate airplane mode on your device
- Open the photo you want to edit on Instagram
- Start editing as usual
- Once you’ve achieved the look you want, skip adding a title or other information and simply tap Share
- The photo will be saved in the gallery.
- Disable airplane mode and use the photo as you want.
- When you return to Instagram, tap on the notification and select “Discard Publication”.
17. Regram / Repost in a couple of clicks
Anyone doing regram knows how to take a screenshot, crop the image, and a series of other tedious steps… With this trick using Hootsuite, you can do regram as easily.
How to do it:
- Open Hootsuite and find the image you would like to share on your Instagram
- Click on the square arrow icon to share the message
- The writing box will open and automatically attach the photo with the original title and add the credit

18. Schedule Instagram posts

- Abra Hootsuite and add your Instagram account
- Click on Compose message
- Choose the photo or video and add a title and hashtags

19. Split Photos and create a mosaic photo
It is a trick that consists in publishing a series of three related photos published in Instagram consecutively or a single photo divided into nine to cover all the visible space in your profile.

20. Adjust the intensity of filters

How to do it:
- Open the photograph you want to edit.
- Tap the filter you want to use.
- Hit with the chosen filter again to open your editing options.
- Use the sliding scale to adjust the intensity of the filter
- Tap Done to add the filter and continue your edits.
21. Send Photos that disappear to other accounts
You can send a photo, video or Boomerang to another account or a group of friends that then disappears as Snapchat does.
How to do it:
- On the main screen, touch the camera icon in the upper left or slide right to open the camera.
- Take a photo, a video or Boomerang
- Edit as you wish
- Tap the arrow at the bottom right of the screen
- Choose your recipient or tap New group to send the message to several people in a single chat group
- Touch Send at the bottom of the screen.
Note: If you select multiple recipients without having to create a group, each user will receive the same message separately.
22 Share videos without sound
About 85 percent of video on Facebook was watched without sound, so it’s safe to say that Instagram users would have similar viewing habits.
How to do it:
- Press the + at the bottom of the screen to select the video you want to upload.
- Touch Next.
- Touch the volume control icon at the top of the screen to mute the sound of the video

23. Mention other accounts in your story
