At the IFA show in Berlin this week, HMD Global took the wraps off another Android One smartphone, the Nokia 7.2. The Nokia 7.2 appears like a Pro model of the Nokia 6.2 thanks to some specs that were similar and considered improved.
Well, this Nokia 7.2 also dons the HDR10 compliant screen, 6.3-inch Full HD+ display and triple rear cameras amongst others. However, the triple rear cameras come with improved photographic elements.

Nokia 7.2 Features (Preview)
In the array of triple cameras, the primary camera is a 48MP Quad pixel lens with f/1.79 aperture. The camera uses pixel binning technique to stack images for better output and quality. In fact, the HDR mode can fuse and stack up to 6 photos while the Night mode can do 10 – 20 photo combinations.
HMD Global also employed the ZEISS optics for the supporting 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP depth cameras. The cameras have the luxury of a LED flash in a circular compartment at the rear. Below this array, there’s the rear fingerprint scanner used for touch biometrics.
The other form of biometric security is found in the 20MP dewdrop notch. It gives you access to unlock your smartphone facially. This front camera also captures selfies and videos at 1080p frame rates. Loaded with ZEISS optics, this 20MP camera uses quad-binning to produce better images.
Moving on, the 6.3-inch HDR10 display utilises the 1080 x 2280 pixels for clarity of texts and inputs. It’s guarded against falls and scratches by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
What sorts the phone’s operations is the Snapdragon 660 SoC. It’s tagged with either a 4GB or 6GB RAM depending on the model you prefer. The 4GB model works smoothly with 64GB storage while the latter performs well with 128GB ROM.
You can enjoy a bloat-free Android Pie OS thanks to the Android One onboard. HMD Global also promises 3 years updates down the line. Lastly, its durability rests on the shoulders of the 3,500mAh battery. It charges swiftly due to Fast Charge 10W in the mix of things.
