Facebook founder, CEO and World’s 7th richest man, Mark Zuckerberg was in Lagos this afternoon which turned out to be his first trip to the sub-saharan Africa, he arrived in Nigeria earlier today and spent some time at CoCreation Hub, Yaba, Lagos. It was indeed an exciting scene how he sneaked up on us without prior notice.

Earlier today, the missions and reasons Mark Zuckerberg visited Nigeria is quite unclear, although, he later updated his Facebook page, clearing up misconceptions of his visit to Lagos, Nigeria.

As shared by Mark; I’ll be meeting with developers and entrepreneurs, and learning about the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. The energy here is amazing and I’m excited to learn as much as I can.

Our first stop is the Co-creation Hub Nigeria (CcHUB) in Yaba. I got to talk to kids at a summer coding camp and entrepreneurs who come to CcHub to build and launch their apps. I’m looking forward to meeting more people here!
