As a result, after the partnership between Spotify and Genius was completed, Spotify began looking for a new provider so that users could still listen to songs while reading or singing the lyrics. Now the provider chosen by Spotify is Musixmatch.
Actually, Spotify has released the Musixmatch song lyrics feature to some users since a few months ago, but now it has announced that the feature has been rolled out for all users.
Through the official Spotify blog which was uploaded on November 18, 2021, Spotify announced its collaboration with Musixmatch to provide millions of song lyrics libraries to the Spotify service.
“Starting today, Lyrics are available globally to Spotify Free and Premium users on iOS, Android, desktop, gaming consoles and TV, so millions of listeners can connect with the music and singers they love even more,” Spotify wrote.
To find the song’s lyrics feature, you can swipe up when listening to a song for mobile platforms or press the ‘microphone’ button located next to the queue button for desktop.
