As expected, the front of the Apple iPad Pro consists of a Liquid Retina display with fine screen edges. In fact, this is the only thing that the front consists of.
The home button was completely omitted and Face ID was added so you can unlock your device with your face instead of with your finger. By means of movements, you can navigate to other apps, the home screen… just like you do with the iPhones without a home button.

Apple iPad Pro 2018 Quick Review!
The 2018 iPad Pro comes in 11- and 12.9-inch variants. The smaller model squeezes its 11-inch screen into a chassis roughly the same size as last year’s 10.5-inch iPad Pro. Apple was able to increase display real estate by thinning out the bezels, most readily apparent by the elimination of “chin” and “forehead” areas previously used for Touch ID and the front-facing camera.
The 12.9-inch model maintains screen size but reduces excess chassis material. This is great because last year’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro was too big for some users. In fact, both models have 25 percent less volume than last year.
Powering the new iPad Pro is Apple’s latest A12X Bionic system-on-chip, a 7-nanometer beast that builds on the A12 Bionic in iPhone XS and XR. Like its smartphone siblings, iPad Pro’s processor gets the new 8-core Neural Engine — a first for iPad.
The graphical performance is also twice as fast, making the device ideal for games and augmented reality. Apple repeatedly emphasized that the iPad is not only the best-selling tablet, but also the best-selling computer. Despite all this power, the iPad Pro weighs only 468 grams and the battery should last up to 10 hours.
Apple (finally) gets rid of their lightning connector and provides the new iPad Pro with USB-C. This ensures that you can connect the device to monitors and other equipment such as photo cameras without having to purchase expensive adapters. Moreover, it is also possible to charge your smartphone by connecting it to the iPad Pro. Ironically, no iPhone has a USB C port so you will still have to purchase a (too expensive) cable to charge your iPhone in this way.
The tablet contains 102 magnets that ensure that you can attach the new Folio Keyboard or the new Apple Pencil just about anywhere. Even more, when you now attach the Apple Pencil to the side of the device, it starts charging immediately. So it can almost never happen again that your Apple Pencil has an empty battery. The Apple Pencil now also responds to touches. For example, you can tap twice on the stylus to change the tool. The new Folio keyboard protects the front and back of the device.
