Currently, many smartphone manufacturers are starting to present their own folding smartphones. Even Samsung has presented the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 which are attracting attention.
Well, recently a well-known leaker named Jon Prosser from the Front Page Tech site also provided information regarding the presence of a folding smartphone made by Google which is stated to be near.
Information related to the presence of Google’s folding smartphone was found in the Android 12 Beta 4 code snippet, especially in the camera application where there are four code names for Google’s latest smartphone.
The code names include Oriole, Raven, Passport, and also Slider. Oriole and Raven themselves have now been confirmed as code names for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones.
But what about Passport and Slider? These two code names sound quite related to folding smartphones because the Passport itself has a folding concept like the Galaxy Z Fold from Samsung.
While the Slider itself sounds similar to the OPPO X 2021 roll screen smartphone. The appearance of the two smartphones is quite interesting to follow if it is really going to be launched by Google.
Currently, Google itself has also developed its own chipset called Google Tensor and will debut on the Google Pixel 6 Series. We’ll just have to wait for more information about this smartphone!
