The latest chipset from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 8150, reportedly will be officially present on December 4th.
Ahead of the launch time, the leaked high-end chipsets are increasingly circulating. The latest is the detailed specifications.
According to GSM Arena, Snapdragon 8150 is said to be carrying a tri- cluster CPU configuration that groups eight CPU cores inside three groups (1 + 3 + 4).
The first cluster contains four Kyro Silver CPU cores with a frequency of 1.8GHz speed, each with a 128GB L2 cache.
Then, the second cluster contains three Kryo Gold CPU cores with a frequency of 2.4Ghz and 256GB L2 cache for each core.
Finally, the third CPU cluster only contains a Kryo Gold CPU core, but the speed reaches 2.8GHz with an L2 cache of 512GB.
Kryo Gold CPU Core is probably a custom Qualcomm design taken from the ARM Cortex-A75, while Kryo Silver is designed from the Cortex-A55.
There is no information about the single Kryo Gold CPU architecture with 2.8GHz speed on Snapdragon 8150, but it is possible that the design is the same as the three lower-speed Kryo Gold CPU cores.
In addition, the graphics processor (GPU) on Snapdragon 8150 is likely to be updated to Adreno 640. However, not much information is known about this GPU.
Some time ago, there was circulation of leaked AnTuTu benchmark of the Snapdragon 8150. With a score in the range of 360,000 points, chipset Anyar made by Qualcomm was shown to have a higher performance than the Apple A12 Bionic (353,000 points) and Kirin 980 made by Huawei (273,000 points).
