Redmi continues to promote the durability of its flagship smartphone, the Redmi Note 7. This time by flying it into space. Like what?
The Redmi Note 7 is flown in a hot air balloon, then ‘assigned’ to photograph atmospheric scenery at an altitude of 31,000 meters. The shots are then uploaded to some official Xiaomi social media, including the @xiaomiindonesia Instagram account.
The photo does look ordinary, as is the view of space that is often displayed in fictional films. But what’s interesting to see is the matter of durability, where the Redmi Note 7 can survive in temperatures of minus 58 degrees Celsius.
Quoting GSM Arena, the Redmi Note 7 trip ends at an altitude of 35,375 meters with an atmospheric pressure of 1 kilopascal (Kpa). The balloon sends a signal to land again on Earth from that height.
In the video, it was shown that the Redmi Note 7’s body remained smooth without scratches, although balloons and some equipment seemed to be slammed into the field on landing. When landing, the cellphone is seen in a state of an empty battery.
“Everything works perfectly. Suitable for trips to space,” said the researcher who flew a hot air balloon while turning on the Redmi Note 7.
