Samsung Officially Launched Galaxy Z Flip

Samsung officially launched its newest folding screen smartphone, Galaxy Z Flip, in a special event that was held in San Francisco, California, USA.

The Galaxy Z Flip SCV47 is a 6.7-inch FHD + (2636 × 1080) display, 1.1-inch sub-display, CPU is Snapdragon 855 Plus SM8150-AC 2.96 GHz octa-core, 8GB RAM, storage capacity is 256GB. It is a high-spec folding Android smartphone equipped with a pixel dual camera comprising of 12 megapixels main camera and 12 megapixels ultra-wide.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is equipped with a 6.7-inch Infinity Flex Display AMOLED screen when opened with a thin bezel and without bangs.

The smartphone has a unique design, which is square when folded, as well as the glass material on the cover that comes with a colours choices of mirror purple, mirror black, and mirror gold, for certain countries.

“This is the first folding screen smartphone without a camera hole in the screen. You can also check the time on the cover and take a selfie without opening your cellphone,” Hirst said.

Moreover, armed with the Infinity Flex Display screen, the Galaxy Z Flip can be opened 135 degrees to form a new perspective, Flex Mode, which allows users to take photos with low angles. This makes the Flex Mode can function as a tripod.

Hirst further explained that the mode was also made possible by flexible hinges made of fibres inside, so those small particles could not enter into it.

Flex Mode also brings the ability to divide screen controls into two – at the top it functions as a screen, while the bottom functions as a control.

This capability also allows for multi-tasking by ‘splitting’ into two parts, each for the use of a different application, which is called the Multi-Active Window feature.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is equipped with a 12MP camera and a camera with a wide viewing angle of 123 degrees, and a 10MP front camera. Meanwhile, for video, this device is capable of recording in 4K UHD quality with the Super Steady feature.

In the processing and storage department, the Galaxy X Flip is armed with 8GB of RAM with up to 256GB of storage space and is powered by a 3300mAh battery.

The price of the Galaxy Z Flip is far cheaper than Samsung’s previous folding screen smartphone, Galaxy Fold, which rolled out in September 2019 with a price of US $1,980.
