Until now the predicate of smartphones with the most rear cameras is still held by the Nokia 9 PureView which has five cameras on the back. But it seems, in the near future the title will be taken by Sony.
Citing Phone Arena, a leaker named Max J, said that he got the news that Sony was working on a new Xperia smartphone with a configuration of six rear cameras.
The leak was uploaded by Max J via his Twitter account, @Samsung_News_.
In his post, he also uploaded an illustrated picture of the concept that would be carried. In the uploaded image, there appears a configuration of six cameras arranged vertically on the left rear side of the device.
The six cameras are arranged in two rows wrapped in a box.
“I heard that Sony is working on a new Xperia featuring a total of six lenses on its rear as well as two cameras on the front,” he said.

According to Max J, this device is still under development. Besides carrying six rear cameras, this newer Xperia also has a dual camera on the front. So that there are a total of eight cameras on this smartphone made by Sony.
Unfortunately, there is no further information regarding the specifications and other details of this smartphone. However, it is estimated that this device will have a Time-of-Flight (ToF) camera, and monochrome.
Most likely, Xperia with six rear cameras will later carry a screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio that can display 4K quality images.
The smartphone is also expected to carry an 8GB / 128GB RAM and storage configuration.
