In this article on Naijaknowhow, I’ll be writing about how to watch deleted YouTube videos easily. Are you trying to find a way to watch YouTube videos that have been deleted? While it’s not possible to watch deleted YouTube videos again, there are still three methods that can help you find the videos you’re looking for. These methods will be adequately explained here.

YouTube is currently the largest platform for uploading and sharing videos. It hosts a wide variety of content uploaded by YouTubers from around the world. However, due to YouTube’s policies, some videos are either hidden or deleted by YouTube after being uploaded. Hence the reason why I want to show you how to watch deleted YouTube videos.

In addition, some creators choose to delete their own videos if they’re not satisfied with them. For viewers, these deleted videos may have been highly interesting and inspiring, and they may want to watch them again. Fortunately, this article will outline the three solutions that can help you watch deleted YouTube videos.

How to Watch Deleted YouTube Videos

1. Through the Wayback Machine (archive.org)

One way to watch deleted YouTube videos is by using the Wayback Machine, which is an online archive of the Internet. It stores various types of content, such as web pages, videos, images, and more. It has stored a vast amount of information, around 500 billion digital archives.

If you have the URL of a deleted YouTube video, you can use the Wayback Machine to try and watch or download it. Even if you don’t have the URL, there are methods to find the URL and title of the deleted video.

To find the URL or title of a deleted YouTube video, open Chrome and click on the three dots in the top right corner of the browser. Then select “History” from the menu that appears.

In the browsing history, locate your previous viewing history to find the title and URL of the video.

Alternatively, you can navigate to the YouTube video listing. If you have recently watched, liked, or added a deleted video to your playlist, you can find it in your YouTube list and get its URL.

To watch deleted YouTube videos using the Wayback Machine, follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit Wayback Machine

Go to the Wayback Machine website. Enter the URL of the deleted video in the search box and press Enter. You will see a calendar showing the years when the Wayback Machine archived the URL. The year that contains the archived version of the video will be highlighted.

Step 2: Select the highlighted year and date

Click on the highlighted year, and you will see the specific date when the Wayback Machine captured the video. Choose any of the snapshots taken on that date.

Step 3: Locate the YouTube video

A YouTube page will appear showing the video, and you may be able to play it. If a video was deleted recently and its URL hasn’t been captured by the Wayback Machine before time, you might not find search results for it. However, if the Wayback Machine doesn’t provide the information you need, don’t give up. You can try the following approach to watch deleted YouTube videos.

2. Watch Deleted YouTube Videos Using Google Search Operator

Google, the world’s biggest search engine, indexes a vast amount of information from the internet. Sometimes, when people share YouTube videos on other platforms before they get deleted, it’s possible to find and watch those deleted videos on other websites using Google.

Here are the steps to do that:

STEP 1. Find the URL of the deleted YouTube video and copy the unique video identifier. The video identifier is the part of the URL that says “v=xxxxxxxx”.

STEP 2. Go to Google and search for the video ID. You will see results related to the keywords you used. If the video has been uploaded to another website, click on the appropriate page to watch the video again.

3. Watch Deleted YouTube Videos Without URL

If you don’t have the link or can’t find the video in your browsing history or YouTube list, you can search for the page that has the video by using its title on Google. If the person who made the video uploaded it again on YouTube with the same title or shared it on other platforms like Facebook or Twitter, you might be able to find the page with the video through a Google search.

However, if you can’t remember the video’s title or find the correct URL, it’s unlikely that you will be able to watch the deleted YouTube video again.

Conclusion

This article has succinctly explained the three methods by which you can watch deleted YouTube videos again. However, even if you have the URL and title of the deleted video, there is no complete guarantee that you will be able to find them again. So to prevent losing videos you like on YouTube, the best solution is to download them.
