Today, Apple launched the cheapest of its flagship smartphones for the year 2019; this time, it’s the Apple iPhone 11. Well, Apple has put a stop to the X nomenclature and continued the numerical mode of naming their smartphones. In fact, there’s a complete overhaul in Apple’s style of naming this year.
Anyways, the Apple iPhone 11 serves as the successor to the iPhone XR, the cheapest of Apple flagship phones for last year. Clearly, Apple wants to bank on this “cheap” line of smartphones for those on an “Apple budget”. Apple iPhone 11 Features (Preview)
To begin with, the Apple iPhone 11 dashes out with the Bionic A13 chip that runs on 7nm+ process. During real-time tests by Apple, the chipset operates 20% faster and smoother than the Bionic A12 SoC. In comparison to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the A13 chip also boasts of better performance in CPU and GPU actions.
Fabulous aesthetics is one of the cool features of this smartphone. Scratch-resistant glass is laid on both sides of the phone to give lasting durability. The notch sits at the top with 12MP wide selfie camera and 3D ToF camera.
This notch camera comes with a wider lens that allows you to snap a wider group selfie. More so, the camera captures 4K@60fps videos, as well as 120fps slo-mo videos called “slofies”.
The 3D ToF camera does the facial recognition needed for the Face ID security on the smartphone. This Face ID recognises your face from farther areas which is a welcome development.
Turning to the rear, two cameras are placed at the top left corner in a protruded compartment. The main 12MP camera is equipped with OIS, video stabilisation a.k.a Cinematic and f/1.8 aperture. Its subordinating camera is a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with 120-degree field-of-view. This ultra-wide lens is capable of 2x optical zoom.
Both cameras feature Smart-HDR, Night mode, 4K@60fps video and 4K Extended Dynamic Range @50fps videos. To this end, Apple asserts that this phone possesses the highest video quality ever seen on a mobile phone. You can additionally make quick videos when snapping pictures by holding the shutter button.
Moving on, the Apple iPhone 11 touches down with the IP68 waterproof and dust resistance, 6.1-inch IPS LCD display and 828 x 1792 pixels. NFC, Wi-Fi 6, Qi Wireless Charging and reverse wireless charging are some of the slick features on the phone.
