Samsung Releases Galaxy A90 5G with Snapdragon 855

Samsung has added to its 5G line of smartphones by inaugurating the presence of the Galaxy A90 5G.

This brand-new smartphone into the upper-middle segment, given the specifications that are similar to the Galaxy S10 line and more close to the Galaxy A70 in the area of design and build quality.

Galaxy A90 5G Features (Preview)

The Galaxy A90 5G has a 6.7-inch widescreen with a Super AMOLED panel and Full HD + resolution. Samsung has embedded a fingerprint scanner panel in the screen, also known as the fingerprint display.

The Galaxy A90 5G is driven by a Snapdragon 855 chipset combined with a Snapdragon X50 5G modem.

However, the screen design still uses Infinity-U with a ‘U’ shaped notch or bangs similar to most types of Samsung middle-class smartphones.

“With the 5G Snapdragon 855 mobile platform, the Galaxy A90 5G offers a transformative mobile experience, from 5G connectivity to more sophisticated AI capabilities,” Samsung wrote in the Galaxy A90 5G announcement page.

On the bangs above the screen perched a single front camera with a 32MP resolution with f / 2.0 lens opening. While the back of the Galaxy A90 5G is made of glass with a design called a ‘geometric pattern’ by combining two colours that are slightly different at the top and bottom of the case.

Three rear cameras embedded neatly in the upper left corner with each resolution of 48MP (f / 2.0) for the main camera, 8MP ultra-wide (f / 2.2), and 5MP depth sensor (f / 2.2).

Some of Samsung’s superior camera features like Super Steady, Scene Optimizer and Flaw Detector complete the rear camera features. While the front camera has a Live Focus mode.

Galaxy A90 5G is available in two variants of RAM namely 6GB and 8GB combined with 128GB of internal storage memory which can still be expanded to 512GB with an additional microSD card.

This device runs the Android 9 Pie operating system. Behind the back covering is a 4500mAh battery that supports fast charging with a 25W current and a USB Type-C connector.

Samsung also complements the Galaxy A90 5G with Samsung Dex which is usually in the Galaxy Note line. Thus, the Galaxy A90 becomes Samsung’s first A-series smartphone that carries the Samsung Dex.

There are two colour variants to choose from, namely black and white. The possibility of this smartphone will only circulate in certain countries, given the 5G connectivity that has not been evenly distributed globally.
