Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Announced, 6.3-inch Smartphone with Snapdragon 665 and Quad Camera

Xiaomi, a Chinese manufacturer, announced its Redmi Note 8, a 6.3-inch smartphone with a quad-camera device alongside the Redmi Note 8 Pro in China.

The Redmi Note 8 newly launched succeeds the Redmi Note 7 which happens to be one of the most shipped devices of 2019. The new Redmi family come with a much robust camera setup compared to its predecessor.

Redmi Note 8 is a mid-range Android smartphone with 6.3-inch FHD + (2340 x 1080) display, Snapdragon 665 AIE 2.0 GHz octa-core CPU, 3 GB / 4 GB RAM, 32GB / 64 GB / 128 GB storage capacity.

Moving to the rear camera, this device packs a quad-camera which includes a 48MP (main F 1.79) wide camera as a member of its Quad rear shooters. The other members of this array are the 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP dedicated macro lens and 2MP depth sensor.

This model also features a water drop-type notch with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The notch embodies the 13MP front selfie camera. It captures AI-enhanced images thanks to AI scene recognition and beautification tools. It also adds Facial Detection to its portfolio.

The battery is 4000mAh and 18W quick charge is possible. It’s further equipped with fingerprint authentication sensor on the back, USB Type-C connection port and a 3.5mm earphone jack.

The software section of the Redmi Note 8 is taken care of by the Android 9.0 Pie OS and MIUI 10. Lastly, the colour options available for this smartphone are Crystal Green, Crystal Blue.
