After being present for the Android platform, Facebook Lite also seems to be visiting iOS devices in the near future.

This was reported by 9to5mac who claimed to have received news that Facebook was developing a Lite version of its application for iOS.

Facebook Lite is an application made for entry-level smartphones that offer a simpler Facebook user experience than regular applications.

This lightweight version of Facebook only requires a very small memory, which is about 5MB, so the application will not burden the entry-level smartphones.

Currently, Facebook Lite is only available on the Android platform because the operating system is more popular in the world. In addition, Android smartphone specifications and features are also far more diverse than iOS smartphones.

According to 9to5mac, Facebook Lite for iOS was first discovered by the SensorTower analytics company in Turkey. Apparently, the application is not available in the US.

In the Facebook Help section, there is a little discussion about Facebook Lite for iOS. It is said that the application is available for some regions, but there weren’t any revelations about the regions presently using the Facebook Lite app.
