Have you ever wondered why a number would call your line and you won’t see a name on it but you’ll rather see Private or just no visible name at all? Well, that’s because the person who called your line has hidden his or her number.

The methods are the same and all you just need to do is use a code alongside the number of the person you want to call before hitting the dial button.

  • To hide numbers on your MTN, you need to do the following.
  • Open your dialer app and type #31# before the number you want to call
  • I.e if the number you want to call is 00112200445, then the call format will be
  • #31#00112200445 then hit the dial-up button on your MTN line.
  • Once you do that, the person you’re calling won’t see a visible caller name even if he or she is using a caller ID app.

  • Open your dialer app and type #31# before the number you want to call

  • To hide numbers on your Airtel, you need to do the following.
  • Open your dialer app and type #31# before the number you want to call
