11 Xiaomi Smartphones To Get Android Q (Check If Your Phone Is Listed)

Although it will only be officially released later this year, several types of smartphones such as Huawei and OnePlus can already try Android Q in the beta.

Unlike Huawei and OnePlus, Xiaomi has just announced a list of smartphones that will first get Android Q. According to the schedule, Android Q on Xiaomi smartphones will be released in Q4 2019 until Q1 2020.

In the list released by Xiaomi, there are at least 11 smartphone models that will get to the operating system first.

  • Mi 9
  • Mi 9 SE
  • Redmi K20 Pro
  • Redmi K20
  • Mi 8
  • Mi 8 Pro
  • Mi 8 Explorer
  • Mi Mix 2S
  • Mi Mix 3

Released in Q1 2020

  • Redmi Note 7 Pro
  • Redmi Note 7

All devices in the list are smartphones that are in the upper and middle segments. Unfortunately, Xiaomi has yet to announce its lower-class smartphone that will share this operating system.

Android Q itself was released with a number of new features and support. This operating system will be used optimally on folding screen smartphone devices and support 5G network capabilities.

In addition, there are also several other features that are embedded. One of the most discussed is the presence of dark mode alias night mode that can make the device more battery efficient and comfortable in the eyes when used.

Android Q also has a Live Captions feature. With this feature, users can translate videos into writing in realtime similar to a subtitle.

There are also other features such as smart reply, focus mode to parental control to monitor smartphone usage by children.

      Q1 – First quarter of 2019 (Between January – April 2019), Q4 – Fourth quarter of 2019 (between September – December)
