This article on Naijaknowhow contains a side-by-side comparison of all the network’s night data plans in Nigeria. Airtel Night Plan vs. 9mobile Night Plan vs. Glo Night Plan vs. MTN Night Plan.
I’ve set my mind back to the days when we spent an entire night at the cyber cafe after paying for all-night browsing. Those days are gone anyway. Today, it’s different in a nearly similar situation; we do it in the comfort of our rooms, given that MTN, Airtel, Glo, and 9mobile (Etisalat) have provided numerous night data plans to help us manage data exhaustion on our regular data plans.
This post is a compilation of night data plans on all networks, and you will likely see regular updates when there is an adjustment to the plan (this post was updated on February 28, 2024). Most of these plans are perfect for downloads, heavy browsing, file sharing and uploads, streaming, and, of course, normal browsing. There are no exceptions on the type of phones that can subscribe to this plan; it works perfectly on Apple iOS devices, Android smartphones and tablets, Windows devices, PC dongles (Modems and MiFi) etc.

List of Night Data Plans on MTN, Airtel, Glo & 9mobile (Etisalat)
Airtel Night Plan
This and MTN are definitely the best among all; their night plan was modified from being unlimited and hourly to limited and untimely. This one is specifically for SmartTRYBE customers alone. If you’re on the TRYBE prepaid plan, then this is perfect!
It gives you 250MB for N25 (between 12 am – 5 am), but you must be on the SmartTRYBE prepaid package to use this plan. The Airtel Night bundles are available for purchase multiple times in a night, allowing you to renew your plan whenever it is exhausted. Click here for subscription details.
9mobile Night Plan
Just like MTN and Airtel, 9mobile (formally Etisalat) offers one of the most reliable midnight plans. It basically comes in two types; one for MoreCliq customers and the other for all 9mobile customers.
The regular night plan offers 500MB for N50 (12 am – 5 am) and it’s exclusive to 9mobile MoreCliq tariff subscribers. The speed of their plan is undeniably fast, although I will only opt in for this if MTN and Airtel stop theirs. You can click here for full subscription details.
On the other hand, if you’re not on the MoreCliq tariff plan, you don’t have to worry; 9mobile has special night plans that work for all 9mobile tariff customers. It comes in three distinct packages, i.e., 1GB for ₦200, 3GB for ₦1000, and 7GB for ₦2000. Learn more about these night plans.
Glo Night Plan
Glo Night Plans come in three packages: 1GB for N100, 500MB for N50, and 250MB for N25. These are some of the most affordable Glo data plans at the moment. These plans allow you to enjoy seamless browsing at midnight between the hours of 12 AM – 5 AM. You can use the Glo night browsing plan for various activities such as downloading, uploading, browsing, social media, streaming, and more.
The Glo Night plan can be renewed automatically, however, this needs to be specified manually if you wish to use it. During subscription, a prompt will pop up to confirm if you want to activate the one-off or autorenew option. Click the link, you will find all Glo Night browsing plans and subscription codes.
MTN Night Plans
This stands out as one of my preferred MTN data plans among the diverse options available. On my night plans ranking list, MTN is second to Glo. The fast and ever-reliable MTN network is dishing out 500MB for N50 and 250MB for N25 and can be used between 11:00 Pm – 6:00 am. Unused MTN Pulse Nightlife bundle balances are cleared at 6 AM.
This plan is exclusive to only MTN Pulse users, and you can click here for subscription details.
Conclusion:
Having familiarized yourself with all the night data plans across Nigerian telecommunication networks, the decision now rests with you to make a wise choice based on factors such as budget, validity, network coverage in your location, data volume, speed, and your capacity to stay awake during the night. Glo night data plan have upgrade,1G is now 100
Updated. Thanks
have you done your test? ,which networks is still going for 200 per 1gb
9mobile still has a plan of 200 for 1gb. However, you can renew your Airtel night plan multiple times during the night to attain 1GB (N25 for 250MB), so do the maths.
This is a nice piece.
Guest question: Can you resub the night plan
Viklin response: Yes
Guest: How?
Viklin: *end of discussion*
Your response are very vague man. Seems like you don’t have idea of what you’re talking about.
Sorry about that… which network please?
